hello carter, i know that your resume is quite impressive, and your work on hgtv unsurpassed.....but, you did say that you studied acting (method?)....so why aren't you all over the big screen? i find it incomprehensible.... you exude such warmth and you certainly embody true pulchritude....what is wrong with the casting directors in your town? are they just empty suits otl?
as ever, ellyn -

Hey, Carter- I wanted to apologize for my last message to you about your windmill and asking so many questions-I hope you don't think I'm dorky for asking-I just find windmills fascinating and mesmerizing to watch and kudos to you for putting one up- there are not many that can put one up due to costs or low wind velocity where they live, etc. I don't know if you're familiar w/ the McBain area in MI-it's really nice farm country, but there is a windmill farm going up in that area-about 14 windmills, I think. So that's a step in the right direction! Also was wondering-I know that your schedule must be absolutely crazy, but didn't know if you will be involved at all with the Great Lakes Bioneers Conference in TC-It's Oct. 17th-19th (Fri-Sun)? I think my family will attend Friday's workshops-it's based around green building and a hands-on building w/ straw, clay and Lime plasters-sounds messy and fun!! Anyways, just thought I'd ask. Hope you have a great time in Chicago this weekend! Hugs, Rachel -

Carter, Just wanted to say great work! Proud of what you do and stand for. Never registered on a fan site before and feel a little silly at 36 years of age! I am also eco-conscious and practice green living every day, it is a lifestyle I am proud of.(Please don't read into this comment or flag me -I did read the rules and my intensions are not to offend or be inappropriate) but I had a dream about you last few nights and guess I felt drawn by the universe to say thanks and keep up the good work. I didn't know much about you and won't judge you by tv but you seem real and that is inspiring! So, for some reason I was drawn to say hi. How silly is this? Maybe someday I will know why-until then have a GREAT DAY and thanks for your time, kerri -

Hi, Carter!
Are you in the Land of Lincoln right now? If so, I assume you're in Chicagoland somewhere -- ever make it downstate? There's lots more to Illinois than Chicago, and we'd LOVE to have you visit sometime! Keep up the green work! -

Hello,
My name is Meryem Mabrouk, I am Moroccan and an Environmental Studies major. There is a website a close friend of mine sent me, only I see that I am not allowed to type hyperlinks; only I really do think it might interest you. Its www dot 41pounds dot org (this is as creative as I can get to pass you this message LOL)....I encourage you to just check it out, I think you might find it quite interesting. If you would like, I can keep you posted on new findings.
Good luck in all your endeavours,

Hey Kiddo - Sorry, I forgot just how popular are! I asked for your help with the stinker of a den in our new home. You said to send the info and, if you had time, you would take a look at it. Please be honest! If you don't have the time or the inclination let met know. I promise my feelings won't be hurt. I realize you are a very busy guy so I'll understand. I think it's terrific that you even offered. By the way I DO like your new show, RH&G!! Take care and thanks Carter, Claudia -

Hey there Carter...so sorry to see you have some haters on your site! :-( Where's the love?...anyway, we may see you at the Natural festival in Chicago...we are "all natural" figure/bodybuilding competitors and we teach our kids nothing but the "all natural" way, and thought that would be a great family event...to take our 8 kids too! And for Robin, and whoever the other "hater" was on your site....if you ever need a personal trainer, i'm sure you can find one in your area...us twins don't train "jealous haters" and the picture, is in our posing suits, at the "Natural USA's) where we went "pro" and earned our "PRO status" and got special award to myself, for serving 8 difficult years in the United States Army (including deployment) and after a really bad accident...so Thank you very much!!! ;-) And Carter...no worries here, we are not of the "stalking material" like someone posted...How obsurd! Show's the lack of love some can have..just because we are talking to a beautiful man, does not mean a negative thing! So, we'll see ya soon on our favorite HGTV and thanks for so much inspiration...keeping both of our Home projects going!!!
Love, Tiffany and Heather, the twins..
P.s...just made print on page 9 (full page too!!!) in Fitness and Physique magazine....with more to come...doing a photo shoot next for Oxygen!!!!!
:-) ;-) :-) ;-) Love The twins -

Hey, Carter! Sounds like you're in IL for a bit. Hope the Flavorfest goes well- sounds like a good time. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, but I have hope that there will be another time to meet you. I'm just curious; did you originally plan on pursuing a career in nutrition? Not like it really matters though; I'd say you've done pretty well :). All of the levels of wellness are intertwined anyway. Even though you focus on environmental health through your work, it's kinda hard to be eco-friendly and not pay attention to keeping your body and mind healthy, etc. Thank you for being such a wonderful role model on so many levels. Okay, enough babbling, I am just pretty passionate about health and wellness too. Hope you enjoy Chicago and have a great rest of the summer!...Kelly -

Hey Carter-thought I would pass on some info. to you regarding a place called the Lied Lodge. It is located in Nebraskas City, Ne and is a very large facility that utilizes "sustainable solutions and green lodging practices" as their site states. It is actually a really cool place that tries to provide people with a place to vacation in a eco-friendly way. Would be great to do a short story on for HGTV Red, Hot and Green. If a large facility is able to run this way then we as homeowners should definitely be able to do the same-just on a much smaller scale. I'm sure you would love to spend your free time looking it up!LOL-really it might be worth it. Take care-Angela -

Hey Carter,
Just joined the fan club and wanted to touch base to let you know how much I love your shows. You're so laid-back and likeable (and, incidentally, adorable) that it's a real joy to watch you do your thing. :) I'm in the process of renovating my 1930 cottage, which has turned out to be a much bigger challenge than I anticipated. I'm really grateful to have this board when I need to yelp for help.
I know you're a carpenter, so this may not be up your alley, but how can you tell if hardwoods are worth refinishing? I recently stripped some very old vinyl tiles off my kitchen floor. Besides the chunks of black adhesive I'll need to somehow chisel off, I discovered that some of the boards are water-damaged. I'm not sure at this point whether to attempt some spot repairs or just call it a day and either paint or recover the floor. My budget is veeeery (painfully!) limited, and I'll be doing the work myself.... so any thoughts you might have to share would be appreciated. Thank you!
Take care,
Lisa :)
